Reasons to Make a Baby Book

Thursday, July 8th, 2010

A baby book is, used to keep photographs of the baby, babies first accomplishments, or special little things the baby does during his or her life. People usually make baby books out of scrapbooks and use things like stickers, cloth or colored paper as borders for pictures, and many other things.

An example of a first page for the book could be something like this. The day your baby is born, you could use some baby-patterned material as a border for the pictures of the baby. Then when you make the books first page use some finger paint for a handprint and footprint of the baby to put in the book.

This page will keep these memories alive until the baby is old enough to see the book and know what it is. Special memories are one of the main reasons why people make baby books. Another reason is to record things that a baby does that are cute or special.

One special event that can be, recorded into the book is when the baby holds a rattle for the first time or another object like mom or dads finger. Parents need to keep the camera handy at all times and take the picture of this event. Then put the picture in the baby book and use a color of paper to matches the rattle around the picture. Then make notes at the bottom of the page about the special event.

There will be many other reasons and pages that will be, added as the baby grows and develops. These are all precious and will need to be, recorded so the child can see these special things when he or she is older. The parents can add anything to the baby book they wish to like locks of the baby hair after he or she is born. The first tooth that the baby looses can be, put into the book if the parents wish to.

When the baby outgrows the outfit he or she was dressed in the day, they were, bought home. A piece of this outfit can be, added to the book to record the day as well. These are all adorable outfits and precious things that the family can see together.

These are just of few of the reasons why people make baby books. You and your family can make your own special pages for your family and baby book.

Using Fountains in Kid’s Room

Wednesday, April 7th, 2010

Most parents had their own fair share of troubles in getting their children to go to bed. They have a hard time of relaxing them before bedtime so they can fall asleep faster and easier. They have tried many methods like white noise generators, or playing soft music which can be expensive. These are not sure-fire tricks and the bulky equipment just adds clutter in your kid’s room.

Water fountains can have positive effects in your home. The kids will surely enjoy them as their parents do. The running water creates a serene ambiance and conceals other distracting sounds that will help kids doze off. Water fountains also serve as natural humidifiers and purify the air. Fountains can also help infants sleep sounder because it creates a similar sound from the mother’s womb which relaxes and lulls the baby to sleep.

Keeping safe and clean is as easy as using natural water treatments to prevent algae and bacteria growth in your fountain. Most recommended are the anti-algae and anti-scale treatments which are really effective and are harmless to kids and pets, so don’t worry when your children touch the water in the fountain. We also advise that you must place table top fountains away from your child’s reach. But you can have it cleaned and put water treatment from time to time.

Clean your fountains and change the water in a regular basis to keep molds and algae from accumulating. Cleaning your fountain every two to three months will do. Also give your fountain a quantity of anti-algae treatment to maintain it clean and safe. Make sure that the water level is sufficient. Immediately add water if it is drying up. Table top and wall fountains are the most recommended for children’s rooms since they can be placed in a location out from the reach of children. Kids especially like fountains with lights and foggers. See Homedics fountains which feature relaxing effects like color-changing lights as it illuminates in the water and nature sounds are played while the water is running. These fountains are not bulky and are easy to maintain.
